North London – based Nizami Foods, producers of innovative sauces, chutneys and oils, are celebrating a successful year having re-branded their product range, three of which have just been unveiled as Great Taste Award winners at the world’s most prestigious and authoritative food competition, which is often dubbed the ‘Oscars’ of the world of fine food and drink.
Nizami Foods were awarded 1 Gold Star for their Romesco Sauce, Moho Sauce and Tomato Chutney. Founder Priya Mahtani who was delighted with the results, stated: “I’m so happy that our Spanish Indian Fusion sauces won awards, as both the Romesco and Moho sauces are totally unique compared to any other product in the sauces market. I really hope we can use the Great Taste Awards to help get these new products into the mouths of more consumers through new store listings.” As for the success of the Tomato Chutney, Priya said, “I was most hopeful of winning an award for our Tomato Chutney, as although there are several in the sauces category, we know our Tomato Chutney is always a top seller when it comes to consumer shows, so it was great to get some official recognition for our family favourite”.
Organised by the Guild of Fine Food Retailers, the Great Taste Awards have carved a reputation over the last decade as the acknowledged accreditation of quality for all speciality food and drink. Nizami Foods is delighted with its string of prestigious awards and hopes that such recognition will enable it to expand its base of speciality retailers that it supplies.
